Organizations : |
| There are a wide variety of assemblies of individuals that could be considered "Islamic Organizations." These include worship-based organizations (e.g. masjids), educational institutions (e.g. schools), and special interest groups (e.g. college-based associations, regional service groups), among others.
Most organizations tend to have websites not as their primary function, but as tools to promote their cause or their particular group. Some organizations are based on service to a closed community (e.g. some student associations, some regional organizations) and others are addressed to anyone and everyone.
In an attempt to be as relevant as possible in the face of sometimes gray borders, this category is limited to any organization, (that is, any existing coalition of people with significant number, resources, clout, money, or spirit to strive) for a cause that is explicitly Islamic or that has as its credo an Islamic principle or is derived from an Islamic principle or lifestyle and who acknowledge Islam as their basis. |
